Over 100 years of Innstolz cheese tradition
In 1998 the Innstolz Roiner dairy celebrated
its 100th anniversary.
Now in the hands of the fourth generation of the Roiner family,
the privately run company is devoted to the production of cheese
specialities and milk products as well as to farming, fresh produce
delivery and wholesale food supply. The farmer Johann Roiner founded
a dairy on his farm in Rottal in 1898, the first dairy in Lower
Bavaria, Germany. This has produced a strong interest in dairy
and
cattle rearing in the region. In 1928 the brand “Innstolz”
became a registered trademark. Today Innstolz is a modern medium-sized
and family-owned company. The Innstolz Roiner dairy is a European
milk production and processing operation and works with modern
hygienic standards.
The aroma of Bavarian pastures
Regional specialities are in high demand
with consumers searching for different taste experiences. A farsighted
German entrepreneur had the idea of regional specialities more
than 100 years ago and made his home region the brand name of the
company and its cheese products -Innstolz - pride of the Inn (region)
in English. Today, Innstolz is a group of independent companies
including the traditional cheese specialist Innstolz Käserei
Roiner at Rotthalmünster in Lower Bavaria. » more
